Despite Over 1,000 Arrests, Russian Oppo Activists Won't Back Down

Reuters reports Russia’s undaunted anti-Kremlin opposition said it was planning a nationwide protest next weekend.
This, despite police forcibly detaining over 1,000 people on Saturday for attending what they said was an illegal march in Moscow.
The protest was conceived by opposition activists as a peaceful walk to demand free local elections.
The walk was systematically and sometimes violently dispersed by police.
