164,000 Jobs Added on
in US July Report In terms of the unemployment rate, the Labor Department says it remains at 3.7%. The 164,000 positions
is 1,000 less than what
analysts predicted for July. The unemployment rate is
.1% higher than what was expected. According to NPR, average
hourly wages are now at $27.98
after increasing by 8 cents in July. The job market is also continuing to perform well with 370,000 new additions being reported last month. Despite good signs in the employment market,
there is still concern about future
economic growth in the U.S. The ongoing trade war between America
and China is said to be big reason as it
shows no signs of slowing down. Interest rate cuts have also been issued by the U.S. Federal Reserve for the first time in over a decade.
