As the Indian cricket board is battling to prove its competence in dealing with anti-doping violations, while resisting to come under the umbrella of the country's National Anti-Doping Agency , the handling of Prithvi Shaw's case has raised a few questions on the procedure followed to hand him the eight-month retrospective suspension.It may be noted that BCCI, under pressure from International Cricket Council and World Anti-Doping Agency is about to sign an agreement with NADA for a six-month trial starting in October.

बीसीसीआई की ओर से पृथ्वी शॉ पर पिछली तिथि से लगाए गए आठ माह के प्रतिबंध फैसले ने यह स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि वाडा यूं ही नहीं उस पर नाडा के संरक्षण में आने का दबाव बना रहा है। शॉ के फैसले में कई ऐसे तथ्य हैं जिन पर सवाल उठाए जा सकते हैं, इस फैसले को चुनौती देने का अधिकार या तो आईसीसी को है या फिर खुद वाडा को। आईसीसी का तो इस फैसले को चुनौती देना मुश्किल है, लेकिन देखना होगा वाडा इस बार अपनी शक्तियों का प्रयोग करता है या नहीं।
