Stunning fire rainbow illuminates the sky in southern Thailand

This is the breathtaking moment an enormous fire rainbow illuminated the evening sky in Thailand yesterday (July 30).
Onlookers were stunned to see the glowing bright light emerging from the heavens in Nakhon Sri Thammarat province in the south of the country.
Stunning footage from around 6pm shows a glimpse of bright sunlight appearing among the clouds, creating a multi-coloured rainbow effect in the sky.
Locals said that this was the first time that they have seen the spectacular natural phenomenon.
Yuttana Tangwong said: ''I don't think this has ever happened in the province. I don't know how it happened but it was very beautiful.''
The rare phenomenon is formed by sunlight reflecting through ice crystals that are suspended in the atmosphere.
