South Korea's National Assembly is holding a Q-and-A session with the ministers of foreign affairs and unification with the focus pretty much on Japan's export curbs.
Foreign minister Kang Kyung-wha called Tokyo's actions unjustifiable,... saying that they are of a retaliatory nature.
And with Japan likely to remove Seoul this week from its whitelist of countries that benefit from minimal trade restrictions,... Kang warned that bilaterial ties could take a turn for the worse.
She said the government continues to demand that Japan lift its restrictions and halt its plans to take Seoul off the list calling for dialogue to resolve the issue diplomatically.
She told lawmakers that the foreign ministry is arranging for talks with her Japanese counterpart during the ASEAN Regional Forum.
