Marcus Stroman to the Mets.
In exchange, Toronto has received
two prospects from New York, pitchers
Simeon Woods Richardson and Anthony Kay.
Despite a 6-11 record, the 28-year-old Stroman currently has a 2.96 ERA.
He also made the All-Star team
this season for the first time
in his six-year career.
Stroman, who had spent his entire MLB career
with the Blue Jays, is a New York native
and grew up near Citi Field.

According to ESPN, the Stroman trade raises
the possibility that the Mets deal either
Noah Syndergaard or Zack Wheeler
before the trade deadline.
