Training with Coach Li- Backhand flip and forehand flip

Coach Li drills me on the combination skill of forehand flip, followed by a backhand counter (loop). One of my problems is that, after my flip, I rushed my step-back (actually there is no need to take such a big step back -- a small step back would suffice), causing a hurried execution of the backhand loop as well. Coach Li pointed out that my body was not stable during the step-back transition from forehand flip to backhand loop.
