Welcome back zappers, Im Devin Curry with http://Shazap.com. Your online video source for comic book news and reviews. Follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/devincurry. It is annual season at marvel and they are out in force. Annuals are so hit and miss with me, I mean you never really know what you’re going to get. They could be a fun side story outside of the current arch, it could be a major event like the wedding of Spiderman back in annual # or it might be something big that pushes the current arch along. This one is a miss for me, not so much because of the story or writing but because of the choice they made. I loved the style of the writing. It read like one of the old Stan lee books with the humor and the writer’s commentary along the way. I've been waiting for them to get back to the Jackpot story because I liked the dynamic that was developing with her and Spidey. I thought she had potential to drive the story the same way that Black Cat did. I was a little disappointed they went the After School special route with her but how the real Jackpot reacts could make for some good story. In the end Spidey got to give his great power great responsibility speech and the new Jackpot might be able to provide what the old one could not. Distributed by Tubemogul.
