Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló Announces Resignation
Ricardo Rosselló, who has been at the center of a text message scandal since July 13, has announced his intent to resign.
In the almost 14-minute-long video statement, Rosselló said he would officially leave office on Friday, August 5.

He also admitted to his mistakes, saying he knows “ apologizing is not enough.”
Rosselló is currently set to be replaced by the Puerto Rico’s secretary of justice, Wanda Vazquez.
Vazquez is next in line for the position as the secretary of state, Luis Rivera Marin, already resigned due to his involvement in the scandal.
