A brilliant 5-wicket haul from Tim Murtagh and a gritty half-century from Andy Balbirnie meant that Ireland brought the newly crowned World Champions England down to Earth on the Day 1 of the Only Test at Lord's. At Stumps Ireland had gained a sizeable lead of 122 runs on a day which saw 20 wickets fall as both the sides were all dismissed once each before England finished the day without loss. An interesting 2nd day beckons as Ireland chase history while the hosts have a lot to do to avoid one of the biggest upsets of all time.
