Paraguayans don frightening feather costumes for celebration
  • 5 years ago
Catholics in Paraguay celebrated the country's patron saint on Wednesday, turning out in fearsome feather costumes. It's believed that, on his deathbed, the Spanish monk St Francis Solano was visited by birds who sang to him. Many costumes are handed down generation to generation through families who add feathers to them each year. Report by Jonesia.
