When you order chicken with beer, you usually receive something to eat and something to drink. But that doesn't always have to be the case, as the following recipe proves. Today, we're bringing the two elements together to create an unusual, yet wonderfully tasty dinnertime meal. Bring on the beer!

You'll need:

- 1 whole chicken
- 3⅓ fl oz beer

For the marinade:

- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tsp honey
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp rosemary
- 1 tsp paprika
- salt and pepper
- 4 tbsp beer

For the side:

- 7 oz potatoes
- olive oil
- salt and pepper

Here's how:

1. First, fill a glass with 3⅓ fl oz of beer and sit the chicken over it.
Next, mix the ingredients for the marinade and brush it onto the chicken.

2. Place the glass with the chicken on a baking tray and spread the potatoes around it. Pour a little olive oil on top, and season with salt and pepper.

3. Place the baking tray with the chicken and potatoes in a convection oven set 320°F for 60 minutes. Make sure that the chicken continues to sit upright on the glass of beer. Avoid preheating the oven as this will heat up the glass too quickly.
