It's often so much easier to root around in the freezer for a bite to eat than making something from scratch. To avoid any extra stress, we usually end up digging out a frozen pizza and sticking that in the oven for dinner. But it's time to stop — making your own pizza baguettes is actually dead simple.

You'll Need:

- 1 baguette

For the herb butter:

- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 garlic clove, chopped up
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley

For the pizza sauce:

- 14 oz crushed tomatoes
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- sugar
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tbsp olive oil

For the topping:

- 6 oz shredded mozzarella
- 2.5 oz grated parmesan
- 2.5 oz diced salami
- 4 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped basil

Here's How:

1. Cut the baguette in half horizontally and divide it into three.

2. Melt the butter in a pan and fry the garlic for a short time. Now add the oregano and parsley. Spread the herb butter on all of the baguette pieces and bake them at 355°F for seven minutes in a convection oven.

3. While the baguettes are baking, prepare the pizza sauce. To do so, fill a large jug with the ingredients and puree them. Spread the pizza sauce on all of the baked baguettes.

4. Next, sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan on all of the baguettes. Add the salami cubes to two of the baguettes, while two others get a generous helping of cream cheese. Bake the baguettes again at 355°F for 15 minutes. To finish, sprinkle some basil on the two baguettes that were only garnished with mozzarella and parmesan.
