Mom's meatloaf was always the best, with a heavy emphasis on the word "was"... because next to this innovative hearty roast, it looks pretty old. Regardless of which versions and fillings you're familiar with, the following variant of meatloaf boasts innovation and a lot of flavor.

You will need:

- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 4 eggs
- 2 cloves garlic
- salt and pepper
- 4 oz bacon
- 3/4 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup cheese

Here's how:

- Mix the ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, garlic, 1 egg, and salt and pepper in a bowl.

- Add the beef mixture to a baking pan and form an indentation in the center.

- Line with bacon and spoon in the cream cheese.

- Cover with slices of cheese and then top with three eggs.

- Bake at 350°F for 60 minutes.

Slice and enjoy!
