The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) acquires P450 million worth of new assets: 90 4x4 pick-up trucks, 73 rubber boats, 12 rigid hull inflatable boats, 7 buses and 5 ambulances. These are expected to help the PCG patrol the country's maritime territory and exclusive economic zone, particularly the West Philippine Sea and Sulu Sea, to fend off poachers, pirates, and other intruders including terrorists.
