Trump Responds To Guatemala's Denial Towards A Safe Third Country Agreement

Guatemala decided not to stick to a safe third country agreement where they would need to take in more asylum seekers. In response, President Donald Trump said he’s considering a “ban,” tariffs or remittance fees on Guatemala. According to Reuters, Trump wrote on Twitter that the country “has not been good.” The Guatemalan government was expected to hold a summit with Trump. Yet the country;s constitutional court blocked President Jimmy Morales to sign the agreement.
