Elizabeth Warren Says a US Financial Crisis Could Happen Soon The Democratic senator and
2020 presidential candidate made the declaration in a new blog post. Warning lights are flashing. Warren adds in her post that President Donald Trump's administration is not helping matters with its actions. The country’s economic foundation is fragile. A single shock could bring it all down. And the Trump Administration’s reckless behavior is increasing the odds of just such a shock, Elizabeth Warren, via Medium. Even though the U.S. unemployment rate is at record lows and the Stock Market is flying high, GDP data is pointing to a slowdown soon. Warren, who predicted the
2008 financial crisis, goes on to write that it is not too late to stop another one. The Massachusetts senator then listed a few ways to stop a collapse. These include increasing the hourly minimum wage to $15 and empowering unions. She also adds that the debt ceiling must be raised in September this year.
