U.S. Prosecutors Say Epstein Tried To Pay Off Witnesses

Jeffrey Epstein reportedly tried to pay off two potential witnesses in the child sex trafficking case against him late last year. U.S. prosecutors said Epstein wired a total of $350,000 to the two individuals, Reuters reports. The names of the individuals were not released in the Manhattan court filing. The accusation is part of the prosecutors’ motion to keep Epstein in jail as he awaits trial. Prosecutors say Epstein could try to influence more witnesses if he were not detained.
