Chandrayaan 2: Why India should be 'over the moon'
Chandrayaan-2 is set to launch on July 15. It is a proud moment for India, as it is on the verge of several records. Not only is it the first Indian mission to explore the lunar terrain using indigenous technology.
If it succeeds, ISRO will become the first space agency to touch down on the moon’s South Pole. India will also become only the fourth country to attempt a soft landing on the lunar surface after erstwhile USSR, USA and China.
