Costa Rica Has Managed To Double Its Forest Cover In The Last 30 Years

According to Mother Nature Network, Costa Rica has often been praised for making inroads on sustainability, biodiversity and other protections. One of the most notable successes the South American country has had is doubling its tree cover in the past 30 years after decades of deforestation. Half of the country's land surface is now covered in trees and that forest cover is able to absorb a huge amount of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
