Newser reports white supremacist James Alex Fields Jr. will spend the rest of his life in prison. Fields pleaded guilty to avoid the death penalty and pleaded for mercy to hopefully avoid a life sentence. However, a federal judge in a Charlottesville courtroom sentenced the 22-year-old white supremacist on Friday to 29 life terms for driving his car into a crowd of people at a neo-Nazi rally in 2017 and killing Heather Heyer.
