The Acropolis Is Closed In Athens Because It's So Hot

According to CNN, Athens is usually around 90˚F this time of year, but temperatures neared 100˚F this week. Because of the high temperatures one of Greece's most famous attractions is shutting down during the hottest parts of the day. Visitors who had tickets are advised to contact the Department of Operations to reschedule. The Acropolis is home to the Parthenon temple that's visited by millions of tourists every year.
