Woman who licks ice creamfaces up to 20 years in prison

TEXAS, LUFKIN — In what seems to be a trend of filming yourself doing derpy, trashy things in public that, let's be honest, lowers the expectations of society and further reinstates how underwhelming social media can be — a woman licked a tub of ice cream inside a Lufkin Walmart, and then put it back.
NBC News reported on the incident saying that after licking the ice cream and putting it back, she now faces up to 20 years behind bars.
According to the Texas state penal code, tampering with consumer products is a second-degree felony that carries a punishment of a two to 20 years prison sentence and up to $10,000 in fines.
The attention-seeking video which was posted on June 28th went viral and has received more than 11 million views.
According to Lufkin Police's Facebook, social media commentators earlier in the week stated that the woman was from San Antonio. Detectives believe that they have identified the woman in question-based on the surveillance footage. They're also wanting to find the man who filmed the attention-craving act where he can be heard offering some breathless voyeuristic commentary, "Lick it, lick it. Oh, you foul. Put it back, put it back."
Blue Bell, who produced the now-infected ice cream, put out a statement confirming the tub in question was never sold.
According to the company, "based on security footage, the location, and the inspection of the carton, we believe we may have recovered the half-gallon that was tampered with. Out of an abundance of caution, we have also removed all Tin Roof half gallons from that location."
