President Moon Jae-in will meet with Son Jeong-ui,... a Japanese billionaire businessman of Korean descent and the CEO of holding company SoftBank at the presidential office in the coming hours.
During his meeting with Son,... also known as Ma-sa-yoshi Son,... President Moon is likely to ask for his thoughts on innovative growth and the Fourth Industrial Revolution to draw on Son's vast experience in the field.
The visit comes amid a sharp downturn in South Korea-Japan relations as Tokyo seems to have launched tech-related export restrictions against Seoul as retaliation for the South Korean Supreme Court's rulings against Japanese companies for their use of Koreans as forced labor during World War ll.
The presidential office says the meeting was requested by Son.
