SHANGHAI, CHINA — Houston Rockets guard James Harden is a big fan of traveling—he also likes going to see other countries which is why he was in Shanghai.
According to the SCMP, Harden was stopped by traffic police on Saturday for zipping around on an electric scooter with some friends.
In photos and videos uploaded to Weibo, the step back king was apparently pulled over for breaking some local road rules.
The SCMP reported the Beard was traveling from Shangri-La Hotel to Cao Yang Road around 3 p.m. in the afternoon.
It's unknown if Harden was given a ticket, but cops probably had no idea who he was. The Houston guard did get his electric scooter confiscated though—that's what you get for traveling everywhere.

According to the SCMP, Harden was in China on an Adidas promotional tour.
After his little scooter situation, he jumped on China's Twitter knockoff Weibo to issue an apology.

"China, thank you for your hospitality. I would like to apologize for violating traffic rules during my scooter ride today," he said. "Not a good example obviously but I was just trying to enjoy the city as much as possible. Thank you for your understanding and I'll make sure to abide by the rules next time here."
