Kumbh Mela: Air pollution smothers India’s huge Hindu festival

According to a study by the Ministry of Resources, #KumbhMela is the time when the River Ganges witnesses a dramatic increase in #pollution levels, most of which can be attributed to bathing and open defecation by the devotees.
