Actress-director Vijaya Nirmala no more due to cardiac stroke. She was 73. She breathed her last here late on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the Continental Hospitals in Gachibowli. Born on February 20, 1946 in Tamil Nadu. She entered the film industry at the age of seven with a Tamil movie Matsyarekha and went on to appear in over 200 films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

ప్రముఖ నటి, దర్శకురాలు, సూపర్‌స్టార్ కృష్ణ సతీమణి విజయ నిర్మల మరణం తెలుగు సినీ పరిశ్రమను విషాదంలోకి నెట్టివేసింది. అయితే కృష్ణ శోకాన్ని ఆపడం ఎవరి వల్లా కావడం లేదు. దాదాపు 50 సంవత్సరాల పాటు అర్దాంగిగా తనతో ప్రయాణం సాగించడమే కాకుండా తన సినీ కెరీర్లో కీలక భూమిక పోషించిన విజయ నిర్మల మరణాన్ని ఆయన తట్టుకోలేక పోతున్నారు. భార్య భౌతిక కాయాన్ని చూస్తూ కృష్ణ కన్నీటి పర్యంతం అయ్యారు. సన్నిహితులు, కుటుంబ సభ్యులు ఎంత ఓదార్చినా ఆయన శోకం నుంచి బయటకు రాలేక పోయారు. సినీ ఇండస్ట్రీకి చెందిన పలువురు ప్రముఖులు విజయ నిర్మల భౌతిక కాయాన్ని సందర్శించి నివాళులు అర్పించారు.
