Hong Kong protesters appeal for foreign support in their fight against extradition bill
  • 5 years ago
Hong Kong protesters held another massive protest Wednesday ahead of the G20 summit to appeal for foreign support in their fight against a now-suspended extradition bill.
Protesters say the bill would compromise Hong Kong's legal system by linking the island's judicial system with that of mainland China.
In various languages, they read out a declaration that requests a complete withdrawal of the bill.
Ahead of their protest, hundreds of people visited the Hong Kong consulates of G20 nations, excluding China, to deliver letters urging their leaders to back their bid for the full withdrawal of the bill.
