President Trump thanked himself on Tuesday for June's stock market gains. "Stock Market is heading for one of the best months (June) in the history of our Country. Thank you Mr. President!" Trump tweeted. Just days prior, he wrote: "Stock Market is on track to have the best June in over 50 years! Thank you Mr. President! @WSJ." Notably, Fortune reports that, based on its analysis, "the S&P 500 has so far seen a 7.3% month-over-month jump as of June 21, the highest percentage gain over that time period since 1955. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 7.8% over the same period, the best performance since 1938." According to CNBC, the upward movement was propelled by both "trade optimism" and "the prospects of easier monetary policy from the Federal Reserve."
