Changeover to new emissions standard - New Mercedes-Benz passenger cars comply with the Euro 6d-TEMP standard as a minimum
  • 5 years ago
During WLTP certification, the Mercedes-Benz emissions laboratory in Stuttgart conducts emission tests on dynamometers under standartized and reproduceable conditions in the presence of a technical verification service. Before the measurements, the vehicles are preconditioned at a legally defined an prescribed test temperature.

During WLTP certification, compliance with various limiting values must be verified. One of these values is the particulate mass in the exhaust gases that is retained in a filter during an emission test. An automated, gravimetric measuring system is used to determine the retained particulate mass.
