Tom Hardy Is Officially Returning for 'Venom' Sequel The producer of the original film, Amy Pascal, has revealed that the 41-year-old actor will
be reprising his role. Hardy will again play the titular Symbiote A.K.A. Eddie Brock in the new movie, which is set for release in 2020. Amy Pascal, to Fandango The 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' producer explained that the first film was such a commercial success thanks to Sony "giving it a life," as well as Hardy's memorable performance in the role. Pascal also hinted she has "big plans" for Hardy's Venom to cross over with Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the near future. She wants the characters to appear in a Marvel and Sony Pictures crossover.
