Indonesian Islamic State returnees from Syria pose safety concerns at home

After the Islamic State lost its foothold in Syria on March 23, 2019, many militants returned home after travelling abroad to support the group’s bid to form a caliphate in Iraq and Syria.  Febri Ramdhan is an Indonesian who managed to return to Jakarta before the fall of Isis, after spending a year in the war zone.  But now the Indonesian government considers the 25-year-old and other Isis returnees to be a security threat.
