A loaded cargo moves towards Bangladesh via Datta river in Sundarbans

These cargo boats make their way to India for cargo loading through the Sunderbans Delta. The Sunderbans Delta serves as the cargo passage between India and Bangladesh. As a rule, these boats need to have both India and Bangladesh flag on them.

The route from the Kolkata port in India to the Mongla port in Bangladesh is being used by cargo ships under the Protocol on Inland Water Transport and Trade.
