Nur-Sultan, Jun 8 (EFE), (Camera: Ignacio Ortega).- The first woman to run for president anywhere in Central Asia has told Efe that she was guaranteed to win the support of women and young voters on election day Sunday in Kazakhstan because she signified change in the republic's ultra-conservative society.
"Women's time has come. Kazakhstan is now ready for a woman to become president of the country," Daniya Yespayeva said at her Ak Zhol (Bright Path) party headquarters in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan's newly renamed capital.
