Labour leader Corbyn 'proud of Muslim mayor' of London, condemns racism and war during Trump's UK visit

Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn gave an impassioned speech condemning racism in all forms and calling for peace in front of a London crowd on June 4, adding that he is "proud" of Sadiq Khan, the Muslim mayor of London.

"I'm proud our city has a Muslim mayor; that we can chase down Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, any form of racism within our society," Corbyn said.

"I want to work with every government around the planet to bring about a peaceful world where we don't solve our problems by going to war," Corbyn said, who has been Leader of the Opposition since 2015.

Trump and Khan's feud is long-standing: Khan commented that "Donald Trump’s ignorant view of Islam could make both our countries less safe," while Trump has called Khan a "stone cold loser."
