IAF aircraft goes missing in Jorhat, Assam; no contact with IAF aircraft since 1pm

An Indian Airforce Trasnport aircraft went missing today at 1 pm. Wreckage of the missing aircraft has been found as per sources in the Payum village of west Siang in Arunachal Pradesh. The aircraft was enroute Mechuka advanced landing station, in Arunachal Pradesh. The cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained. Our sources tell us that the aircraft was carrying 13 people which included 6 officers, 5 air men and 2 NCS. A wing commander was the pilot, mechuka has one of the many rudimentary landing strips run by the air force near the line of actual control with China.
