Princess Starla's time has come to enter the revered Circle of Friendship Ceremony and bond with a magical animal. Together they will lead a heroic band of youngsters and animals called The Jewel Riders on a quest to recover the lost Crown Jewels. But Starla is unsure of which animal will share the special Enchanted Jewel, known as the Sun Stone, with her. Her dream is realized when she meets the beautiful golden winged unicorn, Sunstar.
