Language wars have been reignited in Tamil Nadu. DMK leader Tiruchi Siva threatened the centre of protesting if the new education policy is put in place. Actor turned politician Kamal Haasan and congress have also joined the chorus. Tamil Nadu Politicians are up in arms against the recommendations sent by an expert panel to the new union minister. The draft national education policy 2019 states that children will now be studying three languages early on, from the foundational stage.
