Robert Pattinson Is Officially
the New Batman Rumors have been circulating
for weeks that Pattinson
was up for the role. According to 'Deadline,' Warner Bros.
was also considering 'Mad Max' star
Nicholas Hoult for the job. A source tells 'Deadline' that
Pattinson secured the role during
a meeting on Thursday. Warner Bros. is expected to make
the official announcement soon. Though the plot is not yet known, the
story will focus on a younger Bruce
Wayne and his superhero alter ego. 'The Batman,' directed by
Matt Reeves, is scheduled
for release in June of 2021.
