Turning to the world of sports now.
Two South Korean major leaguers are letting their presence felt clearly over in the U.S.
Ryu Hyun-jin and Choo Shin-soo are having an outstanding season, even inching closer to setting new records.
Lee Min-sun zooms in on the action.
LA Dodgers' pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin threw yet another set of masterful pitches at the last game of the month on Thursday at Dodgers Stadium.
Ryu threw 7 and two-thirds scoreless innings in the team's 2-to-0 victory against the New York Mets. It's his 8th victory of the season for the team.
While delivering a total of 106 pitches, he allowed four hits and had seven strikeouts against just one walk.
It's the fourth time that Ryu has thrown at least seven innings while not allowing a single run.
With Thursday's pitches, he lowered his Earned Run Average or ERA to 1-point-four-eight. Ryu now stands as the only major league pitcher to hold an ERA in the ones.
That brings Ryu a step closer to winning the National League Pitcher of the Month award.
If so, Ryu will be the second South Korean baseball player to win the monthly pitching award, the first being Park Chan-ho in 1998.
Texas Rangers' Choo Shin-soo hit his 10th home run of the season in Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals. It's the 199th home run for Choo since he recorded his first major league home run in 2006.
Choo is now only one home-run away from becoming the first Asian Major Leaguer to reach the milestone of 200 home runs.
