Soma Das, a versatile singer proficient in a multitude of genres & singing styles, with an affinity & creative excellence in Rabindra Sangeet. She had been on a long journey of on-stage performances with several successful concerts of both in UK & India. Soma was born & brought up in the city of joy, Kolkata. Her interest in music rooted in her early days, strongly supported by her family. Her musical journey was initiated by Shri Nitai Das and completed her ‘Sangeet Pravakar’. During such period she joined ‘Banichakra’ for farther lessons on Music. She became a direct disciple of the upright artists Smt Haimanti Shukla & Shri Suprakash Chaki. Their strong influence & guidance, strengthened her base. Her acquaintance with Tagore songs occurred when she joined ‘Dakshinee’ in 2010.
