UPS Purchases Giant Amount of Renewable Gas for Its Fleet

UPS Purchases Renewable Gas for Its Ground Fleet The post service has announced that it has bought 170 million gallons of the fuel source. According to the company, it is the biggest recorded acquisition of renewable gas. The move is meant to help UPS cut back on gas emissions. Come 2025, the deliverer has pledged to reduce them by 12%. The creation of renewable natural gas projects in the U.S. started to spread since 2011. It's been around for a long time but it's starting to spread a little more due to the climate change discussion. Sources such as landfills and dairy farms are used to produce the energy source. We're on a quest to make as much of that renewable natural gas as we can. Because it is hard to create, UPS is enrolled in the government's 'Renewable Fuel Standard' program. This means it doesn't have to spend more buying renewable natural gas than if it purchased the regular kind.
