Fusion Chinese pop act Toffee (Taiwan) chats at SXSW 2015

Taiwanese fusion pop artists Toffee speaks to Hello Asia editor Johnny Au in Austin, Texas during SXSW 2015. Toffee is an unique act that fuses traditional Chinese instruments with pop, hip hop beats and EDM. Toffee also performs a snippet of their upcoming track "Made To Shine".

The band consists of vocalist Debbie, a Brazilian-born Taiwanese descendant with Broadway singing background; guzhengist Kaye, a classically trained guzheng player of more than 18 years; erhu & pipa player Yuna, classically trained player mastering in multiple Chinese classical instruments; and rapper MC GaWeed, who started off as an emcee-cum-rapper at a local club in Taipei.
