Scientists Could Eliminate the Wheezing Dog Gene

Scientists Could Eliminate the Wheezing Dog Gene Dog breeds with flat faces often suffer from serious breathing problems. This used to be attributed to the breeds' signature smushy faces and short
nasal passages. But science has revealed that a genetic mutation could be responsible. The gene, which narrows airways, has been found in French and English Bulldogs, pugs and Norwich terriers. The DNA mutation in a gene called ADAMTS3 may someday be eliminated. Dr. Jon Hall, Canine clinician, via Mail Online
