Hong Kong activists wanted over Mong Kok riots granted asylum in Germany

Hong Kong political activists Ray Wong Toi-yeung and Alan Li Tung-sing have reportedly been granted asylum in Germany. The pair fled Hong Kong for Germany in 2017 while awaiting trial on charges related to clashes in the city’s Mong Kok district during the Lunar New Year in 2016. Reports said the pair were granted the right to stay in Germany in May 2018. (Photo: Ray Wong)
