The nation's top diplomat departed for Paris this afternoon to attend the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting.
The event brings together economic, finance and foreign ministers from 36 member states... to discuss world economy and sustainable development.
Kang Kyung-wha will also hold a number of talks with her counterparts from Paris, Japan and Peru on the sidelines.
While details of the meeting between Seoul and Tokyo are not yet released,... it's garnering attention from both sides as the two have numerous pending issues.
Seoul's forced labor ruling, ordering Japanese firms to compensate South Korean laborers is expected to be on the table,... as Japan recently requested Seoul to hold an arbitration by a third country on whether to compensate or not.
