Essential Travel Itinerary: Japan

Travel south for a few hours and you'll arrive in Kyoto. Kyoto, Uji and Otsu are conglomorate ancient cities with many monuments, temples and shrines dating back to the 6th Century. In the same region, you'll also find Ancient Nara. Hiroshima houses the Atomic Dome, and adjoining museum. Just 40 miles away from Hiroshima, is an island called Ōkunoshima.
