The French city of Bordeaux unveils a rainbow-coloured pedestrian crossing, specially created to mark International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia as a "symbol in the fight against discrimination". It is part of a series of initiatives by city authorities to promote awareness of the discrimination suffered daily by the LGBTQ community. A recent study of greater Bordeaux revealed that 83% of the community claimed to have suffered discrimination or aggression in the past 12 months.
