Why Manmohan Singh may have to sit out of Rajya Sabha ?Former prime minister Manmohan Singh may have to sit out of the Rajya Sabha for sometime till a sitting Congress member resigns after being elected to the Lok Sabha, as his term comes to an end this June. Singh has been a five-time Rajya Sabha member and his current six-year term ends on June 14.

मनमोहन सिंह को क्यों रहना पड़ सकता है राज्यसभा से बाहर, जानिए वजह . मनमोहन सिंह पांच बार से उच्च सदन के सदस्य हैं और उनका मौजूदा छह साल का कार्यकाल 14 जून को पूरा हो रहा है। चुनाव आयोग ने असम से राज्यसभा की दो सीटों को भरने के लिए सात जून को चुनाव की घोषणा की है। एक सीट का प्रतिनिधित्व सिंह कर रहे हैं जबकि दूसरी सीट का प्रतिनिधित्व एस कुजूर कर रहे हैं। कुजूर भी कांग्रेस के ही सदस्य हैं।
