Dr M: Bersatu will be rewarded with developed country, not positions

Dr Mahathir Mohamad today sought to appease Bersatu members upset at not being appointed to important government positions after Pakatan Harapan took Putrajaya last May.

The Bersatu chairperson said that his party was bound by Harapan's election manifesto to not make any political appointments.

However, he added that those who made sacrifices to ensure the coalition's victory in the 14th general election would be rewarded in other ways.
